May was a crazy month for the Scharkowski clan. Cristen had her students preparing for their SOLs (the big standardized test). Mike finished his spring term of 6 classes and started his summer term. He was only taking one class, but it was a law class! Luke continued to pop out more teeth and started pulling himself up and stand on things.
June started to slow down, but we all had to push to the finish line. We were counting the days and the hours. We both finished on Wednesday, June 19. Summer had officially began. We had a week and a half to just relax without any other pressures or worries. It was so nice. We got a lot done around the house, rested, and prepared for our trip to Syracuse, NY, but that's the subject of another posting.
We were able to take Luke to the pool a few times during that week. He wasn't sure what to think the first time. He started to relax the second time and by the third trip to the pool he was loving it. He's always done a funny frog move with his arms and his legs when we hold him, but he put it to good use in the water and is a true water frog! We look forward to taking him to the pool many more times this summer.

Tomorrow Luke turns 10 months old. We can't believe the time has gone by so fast! He loves to climb and stand on everything now. He just popped his last front tooth and now has 7 teeth. He is quite a "talker" and loves making noise. Balls are his favorite toy, pushing them and crawling after or holding them and chewing, they are a lot of fun.

Isn't it amazing how fast these little ones grow! I cannot believe that Luke is 10 months old now! When you have time put a new picture up. I would love to see those teeth!I am glad that you finally started your summer. Hope you get to relax more often during it.

Even though I know all this stuff, it is still fun to read about it. I'm glad you are having a fun summer.
Love, Mom
