Happy Independence Day! The 4th of July was a fun-filled family adventure. We started the day off with our ward's breakfast. Then we made it home to watch our favorite Coney Island Hot dog eating contest on ESPN. Next, we headed to the family's house for a big barbecue and games. It 
started to rain, so we weren't sure if we wanted to head to Fairfax high school for the fireworks. Finally, at the last minute, we all decided to chance it. The guys dropped the women and children off at the front and we rushed inside. The guys joined us after having a brief "discussion" with a "discotecque" owner about parking. We enjoyed watching the great fireworks through the rain. Luke was not a big fan of the fireworks. He never cried, but he was grabbing on for dear life and buried his head in my neck for most of the fireworks. He did eventually turn his head, but he never really appreciated his first fireworks.

omping grounds around Fairfax. Then we went down to Manassas Battle Field. We ended the day with a barbecue with friends, enjoying good food and Wii time. Mike and I also won the "Eternal Companions" game, a variation of the Newleywed game.

ress. Then we walked down to the Air and Space Museum and then back to our cars that were parked at the Tidal basin. Oh, did I mention that we did all of that in less than 4 hours. Yeah, our feet were a little tired and Luke was a little cranky, but it was a fun day. We really enjoyed seeing Sonya and Kevin. It was sad to say goodbye again.

Wow! You guys are so busy! It looks like you are having all kinds of fun trips during the summer. Luke is looking so big! And look at those super cute pictures. Sometimes it is good to be busy. I am glad that you have been having a great time!
