It's been a fun-filled beginning of the year for the Scharkowski clan. Mike's JV basketball team did really well, finishing up with 11-5 record. I'm working hard trying to help the 4th graders learn everything there is to know about Virginia history, multiplication and division, weather, and writing essays. Luke is busy growing! At his 18 month appointment he was 34 in. (92%) and 29 lbs. (86%). He's a big kid! The funniest part about the appointment was as the doctor, who we just met for the first time, was leaving she suddenly looked really closely at Luke's face. She said, "Are his lips always that big?" Then she looked at me and said,
"Oh!" That's funny. But what's even funnier is that she then proceeds to say, "Well, sometimes lips are that big from an allergic reaction!" Yeah, thanks, you just called our lips allergic reactions. Tell me, don't you think he has the most precious lips!

That's hilarious, Hermana! Um, hello, didn't the doctor see your lips and know that it's just in his genes?? Duh for that lady.
